Abstract


The house of God has always been a symbol of longing, protection, and encounter with God. However, in the context of today's church, the church faces a crisis of spirituality: worship becomes routine, faith relationships are weakening, and the understanding of the church as the body of Christ is becoming thinning. This study aims to analyze in depth Psalm 27:1-6 to understand how the worship space functions as a forum for community faith formation. Hermeneutically, this study uses the analysis of Hebrew poetry by paying attention to the accents structure. The results of the study show that the house of God does not simply refer to a physical place of worship, but a symbol of God's presence that shapes the spiritual life of the people through liturgical experiences. The liturgy becomes a medium of transformation of faith, from fear to faith, from the individual to the community. Therefore, the church today is called to present the house of God as a space for the formation of common faith, where the people experience strengthening and intimacy with God. Thus, Psalm 27:1-6 is read in ecclesiological liturgical theological paradigm that affirms the function of worship and church fellowship as a means of forming community spirituality in the midst of a world full of uncertainty
