Peran Ayah dalam Mengembangkan Budaya Berpikir Kritis Pada Anak dalam Keluarga Kristen

Abstract


Today our children live in a period that requires them to think critically. Critical thinking is important for a child because this will prevent him from various crimes that target him, help him find solutions, have a good impact on his academic abilities, and give him the opportunity to be more successful in the future. Given the ties of relationship and position, a father is considered the most suitable in developing a culture of critical thinking in children. This article intends to initiate the role of fathers in developing a culture of critical thinking in children in Christian families. The selection of qualitative narrative methods and literature review is expected to be able to provide a thorough, structured, in-depth description, and have a good academic foundation related to the narrative of God's word about critical thinking, the importance of a child's critical thinking, and the idea of the role of fathers in developing a culture of critical thinking in children. In conclusion, the father will play the maximum role if he introduces this culture of critical thinking as early as possible in his child's daily life, makes himself a child's discussion partner, positions himself as a mentor and a life example to be emulated by his child.

Hari ini anak-anak kita hidup dalam sebuah masa yang mengharuskannya untuk berpikir kritis. Berpikir kritis penting bagi seorang anak karena hal ini akan menghindarkannya dari berbagai tindak kejahatan yang mengincarnya, membantunya menemukan solusi, berdampak bagus pada kemampuan akademiknya, serta memberinya peluang untuk lebih berhasil di masa depan. Mengingat ikatan hubungan maupun posisinya maka seorang ayah dianggap paling cocok dalam mengembangkan budaya berpikir kritis pada anak. Artikel ini bermaksud mengagas peran ayah dalam mengembangkan budaya berpikir kritis pada anak di keluarga Kristiani. Pemilihan metode kualitatif naratif dan kajian literatur diharapkan mampu memberikan gambaran yang cermat, terstruktur, mendalam, serta memiliki landasan akademik yang baik terkait narasi firman Tuhan tentang berpikir Kristis, pentingnya seorang anak berpikir kritis, dan mengagas peran ayah dalam mengembangkan budaya berpikir kritis pada anak. Disimpulkan, ayah akan berperan maksimal jika memperkenalkan budaya berpikir kritis ini seawal mungkin dalam keseharian hidup anaknya, menjadikan dirinya teman diskusi anak, memposisikan diri sebagai mentor dan teladan hidup yang dicontoh oleh anaknya.
